Fielding Primary School and Nursery

21/10/15

For the second game of the Peal Shield campaign Fielding had to travel to Selbourne Primary School where Mr Winn oversaw the boys to a stunning 7-2 away victory. The game kicked off and it was Fielding who started the better of the teams scoring a goal early on only to have it disallowed for a foul. That didn't get the boys down though and Artie soon put one away to put us 1 up. The lead didn't last long with Selbourne equalising soon after. After a brief quiet spell from both teams Sonny scored with a shot to the right of the keeper. 2-1 Fielding. We were hoping to go in at half time with the advantage but Selbourne battled back to make it 2-2 before the whistle blew. Half time and although the boys were doing OK Mr Winn knew they were capable of more, so after a bit of a talking to the boys were back on the pitch ready for the second half. The half time team talk worked a treat as goals started coming from all over the place. Subs Oliver and Jack both got their names on the score sheet and Sonny followed up with a second. Man of the match went to Artie though who finished a game with a hat-trick. Fantastic second half performance from the boys which means we are 2 wins from 2 in the Peal Shield.

The final game in the group is against Alec Reed Academy at home. The date of the fixture is TBC and will be announced soon.

Keep going Fielding!
