Fielding Primary School and Nursery

Help us fill our library with high quality books

Help us fill our library spaces with books by donating new, read or unwanted books to school.

Books and reading are at the heart of our school in our library areas for Year 1 & 2 pupils and Year 3, 4, 5 & 6 pupils:

  • Year 1 & 2 pupils enjoy using the large corridor space between  Year 2 classrooms and Year 1 classrooms
  • Pupils in Years 3, 4, 5 & 6 benefit from a large open library and terraced reading area  at the front of the school

A range of seating, shelving and storage of books enable more pupils to read during the school day, including break times, and to access books to read at home.

Give your unwanted books a second life

We want reading and a life long love of reading to be at the heart of our school.  Governors have earmarked thousands to spend on new books.  Families can help us fill our new libraries quicker, giving all children even more choice and interest in books at school.

Parents are being asked to check the school’s ’wish list’ of book titles and children’s authors, begin collecting books now, ready to donate to the school during the Autumn Term.
