If you are a parent, guardian or any relative of a child at Fielding or a member of staff than you are a member if Fielding PTFA.

The aim of the PTFA is to raise money for the school and to arrange fun social events for adults and children. The PTFA has a long tradition of organizing innovative exciting opportunities for all the family.

The committee is made up of a Chair, Vice Chair, Secretary and Treasurer plus class representatives. Meetings are held regularly in school. Small working groups organize each event and everyone helps in any way they can.

Our main fund raising events of the year are the Christmas and Summer Fairs. Other annual events included a Quiz Night, Car Boot Sale, Bike Swap and a Barbeque. Parents enjoy year group nights out and the Theatre Club, Children Talent Shows, Discos and other entertainment. We try to fit in as many different fun activities as we can.

In recent times the PTFA have funded two playground projects totaling £50,000, resources for early years, books for library, the friendship benches for the playgrounds, the greenhouse and tools for the gardening club, interactive whiteboards for every KS2 class, to name but a few.

The PTFA supports School Council projects and charities, giving time and funds to ensure their success. Christmas Boxes and the Comic Relief Talent Show always prove successful.

We hold our Annual General Meeting (AGM) in October at which we elect our committee for the following year. But don’t wait until then. So if you would like to help give the school better facilities and ensure our children have lots of extra curricular activities, come along and join us.
