Fielding Primary School and Nursery

Sessions

Flexibility

Term Time Sessions match existing wrap-around childcare for the main school:

  • Early morning session, including breakfast, 7.30am-8am
  • Morning session, including hot lunch, 8am-1pm
  • Afternoon session, including light meal, 1pm-6pm
  • Each session is charged seperatly

Sessions are flexible and can be taken on a part-time or full-time basis depending on our availability and the needs of each family, mixing and matching any combination of early morning, morning and afternoon sessions over a week.

Young children learn best when they are in a consistent routine.  Once sessions have been booked and allocated they can only be stopped completely, reduced or changed with half-a-term’s notice, this must be in advance. Requests to increase sessions can be at any time.  All changes and increases are subject to our availability.

For maximum flexibility, parents may drop off between 8am to 9am for the Morning session and between 1pm to 1.10pm for the Afternoon session. However, a full fee for each session will be incurred if dropped off after the start of the session or collected before the end of the session. The early session for breakfast is between 7.30am and 8am, at 8am the next session begins so breakfast will not be provided if you arrive after 8am.

All sessions take place in the nursery environment with a dedicated nursery team, led by the Lead Teacher and Nursery Manager.

School holidays

Around 9 weeks of childcare are available during school holiday time.  Sessions times and fees are identical to term-time. These sessions are flexible, may differ to your term-time pattern and will be available to book and paid for separately from term-time sessions for all children who attend Fielding Nursery.

Please provide a healthy packed lunch and snack for tea, you are welcome to provide food that needs to be heated if you would like your child to have a hot meal. Fruit will be available during the day. Please remember that Fielding is a 'nut free' school, please check ingredients in snack bars, breads, snack packs etc. as these can contain 'nut traces' or have been prepared in an environment where other products containing nuts have been prepared. Any food containing any traces of nuts will be sent home. Thank you for taking time to check.

We will provide holiday childcare to compliment the school term:

  • Autumn half-term, 23-27 October 2017

  • Christmas, closed

  • Spring half-term, 12-16 February 2018

  • Easter, 3-13 April 2018

  • Summer half-term, closed

  • Summer, 19 July - 22 August 2018

Fielding Nursery holiday care is separate from Fielding Primary holiday club for pupils from Reception to Year 6.  Booking for all holiday dates is available in advance with immediate confirmation. Holiday fees must be paid before children attend.

Every child in nursery can have a holiday place if needed,  there are no waiting lists.
