Fielding Primary School and Nursery

The school offers children a curriculum relevant to their needs. They will be given opportunities and support to develop at their own rate of progress and understanding. Effective learning is encouraged and facilitated through the provision of a stimulating environment with appropriate preparation and planning of curriculum activities. Various teaching styles are used appropriate to the needs of the child and to the specification of the Foundation Stage /National Curriculum. Staff plan curriculum themes and topics to provide equal opportunities across year groups and continuity and progression from Reception to Year 2. Foundation Stage/National Curriculum programmes of study are referenced and implemented through varying approaches with regard to the age, ability and needs of the children in each class. Whole class, group work and individual teaching are undertaken appropriate to the curriculum tasks.
