Confirmed case of COVID-19 in school - Reception Group 1 (Miss Karim)
We have been advised by Public Health England of a confirmed case of COVID-19 within our Reception, Group 1 class bubble taught by Miss Karim. A member of staff has tested positive. We wish her well.
Children in our Reception, Group 2 class bubble taught by Mrs O'Neil are not affected because our Reception is split into 2 separate containment bubbles. Reception remains open to these pupils.
Children in Reception Group 1 need to stay at home and self-isolate. The last day of self-isolation is Monday 8 February. Pupils may return to school on Tuesday 9 February.
We will switch to remote learning at home for children who have been asked to self-isolate.
Close contacts have been identified and contacted by email today. This includes:
- children who attended Reception Group 1 on Friday.
- staff members who were in close contact.
We know that you may find this worrying but we are continuing to monitor the situation. We are working with Public Health England, following their requirements for schools and have informed the local authority.
