Nursery, Reception Breakfast Club and Reception After-school Club, confirmed case of coronavirus (COVID-19)

We have been advised by Public Health England that there has been a confirmed case of COVID-19 within the Nursery, Breakfast Club and After-school Club for Reception pupils. A member of staff who works in Nursery and wrap-around childcare has tested positive.

Close contacts have been identified and contacted by email today. This includes:

  • All Nursery staff,
  • Nursery pupils who attended our Wednesday, Thursday or Friday morning and/or afternoon sessions;
  • Reception pupils (along with 2 others from other age groups) who attended Breakfast Club on Wednesday, Thursday or Friday morning,
  • Reception pupils who attended After-school Club on Wednesday, Thursday or Friday after-school.

These pupils and members of staff will now self-isolate at home for up to 10 days before returning to their usual activities. The government has reduced the period of self-isolation from 14 to 10 days. It is important that we all play our part in reducing the spread of infection in our school and community.

Nursery is closed to all pupils from Monday because there are no staff available. All must stay at home to self-isolate.

The main school, Breakfast Club and After-school Club for all other pupils is open.

We know that you may find this worrying but we are continuing to monitor the situation. We are working with Public Health England, following their requirements for schools and have informed the local authority.
