Values Baccalaureate 2019 launch

Values Baccalaureate 2019 launch

At Fielding, we have created the Fielding Values Baccalaureate where the children can use their Values in their wider school, home and local communities. This empowers the children to take their Values learning and apply it in a range of ways.

Last year, we launched our new tiered system which children can work through stage by stage in order to use their Values more widely and with a deeper understanding. There are three levels of the Baccalaureate, which the children can earn across Years 4-6. Children, who have previously earnt the Values Baccalaureate, have achieved the Bronze level and should now progress onto the Silver level and then finally the Gold level. These levels mean the children can apply their Values ethos and learning over longer periods of time and in a range of situations. Children need to complete the task cards and provide the evidence as explained on the task cards. Their success with that level will be celebrated as part of our reward assemblies and they will receive a patch to wear, recognising their achievement.

Today, pupils in Years 4, 5 and 6 attended an assembly launching the Values Baccalaureate for this year so all pupils are aware of what is required and importance of completing these levels. The Baccalaureate is very important to us as a school as it is encouraging the children to take more responsibility with their Values education so they are developing their own core sets of Values that will guide their behaviour and choices.

Please see the Values area of the website for the task cards when needed. Thank you
