• Lights, camera, action, holiday club on tour!

  Children visited Sky Studios, Brentford  to use the latest broadcast technology to write, produce and direct their short news bulletin. In preparation for the task ahead, the children went into Sky Sports studio to watch a live broadcast from the news desk. We learnt the roles of Director, Producers, Scriptwriter, Camera Operator, Presenter and Editor were all equally important and can be great fun. Sport was the chosen topic; reports came into the studio from out on location and during interviews with experts. The day finished with the children viewing their finished piece in the transmission area and taking home a USB of the programme to share with parents. Fielding definitely have some budding TV stars in the making!

• Holiday Club, the story so far...

  Today we have reached the end of week two; time really does fly when you are having fun!

  So far, the children have been on epic trips to a variety of places including Tenpin bowling, the Princess Diana Memorial Playground and snakes and Ladders. Here at school we have baked scrumptious delights, dipped our feet in paint to make stunning murals and learnt how to take care of our pets with the staff from the Mayhew Animal Home. The opportunity for exciting experiences continues to unfold.

• Academy consultation, parents questions and answers

  340 questions received!

  Thank you to those parents  who attended one of our parent meetings and to those who sent in questions in advance via email. We have now compiled, sorted and answered your questions, many of the questions had similar themes and have been grouped accordingly. While this is an extensive document with 340 questions we do recognise that this document is only in response to questions already submitted. The consultation period remains open until 29th September and the Governing Body will gladly respond to all questions, and duly consider all comments until that time.

  As mentioned in our last news article,  we have received mixed views from parents around the process of the consultation. The Governing Body will be meeting on the 18th September to decide how to proceed. As this meeting is after the next two planned parent information sessions on the 13th, these will be cancelled. It is likely that dates for any further meetings will be published after this date.
