  • Parent Governor Election

    Fri 29 Nov 2019

Good news, we have two parents who have put themselves forward to stand in the election for a parent governor. These parents are Guy Adams who has a child in Year 2 and Sabine Dedeyan who has a child in Year 3. Personal statements will be sent out on Tuesday 2nd December along with relevant voting papers. There is a 14-day window for ballot papers and parent declaration forms to be returned to the school office, deadline Tuesday 17th December 2019. Any votes received after this date will not be accepted.

Ealing Council has strict rules about parent governor elections. We would prefer to complete all of this electronically but have been told that we cannot.

    The double envelope system

You will be provided with a ballot paper, parent’s declaration form and two envelopes, 1 x small and 1 x larger per parent. These will be sent home by pupil post on Tuesday 2nd December. If you do not receive these forms, you will need to come into the school office and complete a parent verification form. This form states that you have either not received the original papers or that these maybe lost. Completed forms cannot be sent electronically.

When recording your vote on the ballot paper, please clearly mark which candidate you wish to vote for (please do not mark this paper in any way which may identify you). When you have completed the ballot paper this must be placed in the smaller envelope and sealed. You should also complete the declaration form which goes in the large envelope with the smaller envelope sealed. You can return this to the school office by pupil post, by post or be personal delivery. Electronic documents will not be accepted. All votes are kept in a secure area until the count.

    The count

The count for the election will take place on Wednesday 18th December.  Notification of the successful candidate will be made known on the Latest News on Thursday 19th December 2019.

  • Relationships and Sex Education Parent consultation

    Fri 29 Nov 2019

The government is introducing compulsory Relationships Education for primary age pupils and Relationships and Sex Education (RSE) for secondary age pupils from September 2020.  Relationships Education at primary age includes the requirement to teach some sex education. Also, from September 2020 all schools must teach Health Education.

Relationships and Sex Education has been part of our curriculum for many years. We support the government’s change to make this learning compulsory for all pupils. We are seeking your views to help us review our policies for Relationships Education and RSE, including helping inform our decisions on when and how certain content is covered. We will listen to your views and then make a reasonable decision about any changes to our curriculum content.

Please complete the survey below to share your views about our Relationships education so that we can take these into consideration.

The survey will close 9.00 am on Wednesday 18th December 2019

  • Get creative with our Christmas Bauble parade

    Thu 28 Nov 2019

Following the success of the snowmen and scarecrow parade, this year we want to make a Fielding Christmas Bauble parade, along Wyndham entrance to main hall, filled with as many decorated Christmas baubles, decorations and Christmas jokes made or written by Fielding families and Children.

Please get the kids involved making and creating this to be a lovely Christmas area by making Christmas decorations.

No rules to design, try to make them waterproof and use as much reclaimed/recycled material and Christmas decorations.

Also looking for family favourite Christmas jokes to go up with decorations. So email jokes to xmas.fieldingptfa@gmail.com, with the child's name(s) and class(s) if you wish or you can print and laminate your favourite joke and we will display them.

Bring any decorations or laminated jokes to school next week from 2 December or on the day of Christmas fair 7 December and hang them up in the area. Feel free to include the child's name(s) and class(s).

Please send in a bottle or a box of chocolates to the PTFA for their Bottle Tombola stall at our Christmas Fair in exchange for non-uniform day. The stall raises a large sum of money, this is down to the great donations we receive from parents.

Year 3 pupils, who would usually come to school in their PE uniforms on a Friday, are asked to wear clothes that are suitable for a PE, sport and games session for example, a favourite football kit, leggings/jogging bottoms, t-shirt and long-sleeved top.
The PTFA Christmas Fair will take place on Saturday 7th December, so come along and join in the fun. For a full list of other donation requests
