Primary School and Nursery
Keep up to date with all the news happening in the school at the moment. Articles are added during the week. Parents are encouraged to check regularly. Our weekly bulletin, emailed directly to parents, summarises content for the week.
Nursery is open to all pupils who are healthy and well from Tuesday 5 January.
We have split Nursery into 2 new protective 'bubbles' so that fewer pupils will be sent home if there is a confirmed positive case of coronavirus (COVID-19).
Please see Nursery Noticeboard for more details.
School is closed to most pupils. We may re-open on Monday 18 January. The government will tell us when we can re-open to more pupils. We may be closed for longer than 2 weeks.
From Tuesday 5 January, school is open to:
All other pupils will learn at home using Microsoft Teams. This is a different, better offer compared to lockdown in March. We have learned from our weaknesses in March. We are offering:
School is open from Tuesday 5 January to children of key-workers and those who are vulnerable.
Key-worker parents can tell us that their children will be in school using MyChildatSchool (MCAS) from now. We are not seeking proof from your employer of key-worker status at this stage. Our offer is unlimited and guaranteed. If you are a key-worker, your child can and should come to school.
If you need additional wrap-around childcare at Breakfast or After-school club, please book and pay, as usual using MCAS. Childcare will be organised by year group bubble.
Vulnerable pupils are identified by us. The government has rules about which pupils are 'vulnerable'. This includes those pupils with special educational needs who have an education, health and care plan; are under social care with a social worker or at the cusp of needing social care.
This is a different offer compared to lockdown in March. Our focus is on learning in school rather than childcare. This means:
During school closure in January we will be providing education in school for all pupils of critical workers and for those pupils who have an Education and Health Care Plan or are vulnerable.
These pupils will be educated in school in year group bubbles by one of the year group teachers. They will follow a similar timetable to those pupils who are completing remote education at home.
There are no limits on pupil numbers for these groups but we do need you to book your child’s place via MCAS. Sessions are from 8.30-3.30 and must be booked for every day to ensure consistency. There is no cost for these sessions. Once booked your child must attend.
To book, please go to the ‘clubs’ section of MCAS from 3pm Thursday 31st December. You will be able to see a new ‘Key Worker – Y(?)’ session available for you to book for your child. You don't need to select everyday as the system will do this for you. Bookings must be completed by Monday 4th January at 10am.
There will be no specialist clubs running during this time, however you can also book wrap-around care in the usual way, at the usual cost, if you need childcare before or after school.
The government announced today that primary schools in Ealing will not open from 4 January. The earliest school will now open is 18 January. We did not expect this announcement. We will publish more information tomorrow by 5pm. Our initial plans are:
Children of key-workers and those who are vulnerable are welcome to attend school as usual:
Nursey is open to all pupils, as usual, from 7.30am to 6pm. There is no change to the childcare, teaching and learning for pupils in Nursery. Fees are unchanged.
All other pupils will learn at home using Microsoft Teams:
We will write again tomorrow when our plans are more detailed. Booking for children of key-workers and those who are vulnerable will open on MCAS tomorrow evening. Every child who needs to be in school is guaranteed a place.
Coronavirus infection rates in London are high and rising rapidly. Help limit the spread of the virus around the end of term by:
This is important over the Christmas period to help protect every family who is planning to make Christmas bubbles.
No positive test results for coronavirus (COVID-19) have been reported to school since yesterday.
Please tell school if your child had symptoms up to midnight on Sunday 20 December followed by a positive test result. We will then trace any close contacts from time in school:
Positive test results are now unlikely to impact on close contacts at school.
Happy Christmas.

We have been advised by Public Health England of a confirmed case of COVID-19 within Year 3 and 4. Amanda Gleeson, Higher Level Teaching Assistant, has tested positive. We wish her well.
Mrs Gleeson works across Year 3 and Year 4 to help small groups and individual pupils catch-up. She is likely to have been infectious on Thursday 17 December and Friday 18 December.
Close contacts have been identified and contacted by email today. This includes:
These pupils and members of staff will now self-isolate at home for up to 10 days before returning to their usual activities. It is important that we all play our part in reducing the spread of infection in our school and community.
We know that you may find this worrying but we are continuing to monitor the situation. We are working with Public Health England, following their requirements for schools and have informed the local authority.
