We have been informed today that a pupil in 6S has tested positive for COVID-19. This pupil has been isolating this week and therefore has not been is school. The last contact with the class was on Friday. It is unlikely that this pupil was positive on this day. There is no need for the class to isolate.
Please be vigilant and if your child develops any symptoms your child and the household must isolate for 10 days. You should arrange a PCR test by contacting NHS online or 119. If your child tests positive please inform school using this form.
We wish you all a safe Easter break.

The government announced last week that school overnight trips (subject to successfully moving through the roadmap) can resume from 17 May. PGL have been anticipating this news and have been getting everything ready including making sure they are COVID secure. We are delighted to confirm we can go ahead as planned with our residential trip for Years 5 and 6 to the Isle of Wight 2nd - 5th July. The cost of this residential trip is £265.00 per child.
We will be travelling by coach and ferry to the Little Canada PGL Centre in Wooton Creek, Ryde IOW. Children will have the opportunity to take part in a range of adventurous activities including water sports. Further information can be found at the Centre’s website,
For more information have a look at our Isle of Wight page on our website within Overnight & Residential Trips section to see what the children did during our 2019 visit.
Find out more about how the PGL team have made changes to ensure they meet government guidelines and have created the safest environment possible for your child.
To secure your child's place, log in to MCAS and select 'trips' from the menu bar on the left hand side, add the trip to your basket and pay the £65 deposit by 23 April.
Harrison's new menu for April to July is now available to view.
School meals are planned around a three week menu cycle, meeting all government dietary requirements for schools.
Children can take any meal for any number of days with no pre-booking or notice period.
Copies of the menu are also available from the School Office.
Rebecca Preston, Chair of Governors, resigns from our Board because she is relocating to live outside of Ealing. Rebecca moves house and her children leave Fielding at the end of this school term. We thank Rebecca for her contribution to the school and wish her family happiness in their new home.
Rebecca has led the Board maintaining the excellence at Fielding, including through a new Ofsted inspection framework. Her legacy includes an even more professional approach to governance of the school through the appointment of Board members with professional skills and knowledge matched to the needs of the school.
David Millican, Vice Chair, becomes Chair until the next Board meeting. Governors will then elect a new Chair. During the summer term, we will also review skills and knowledge needs of the Board and then seek nominations from parents to fill Rebecca’s parent governor vacancy.
There are just eight days to go until the first Fielding Virtual Balloon Race takes place. We have only managed to sell 26% of our balloon allocation so please help the PTFA by purchasing some of our £3 balloons. Not only will you be able to track each of your balloons over a seven day period, you will also be able to see where you are on the leaderboard amongst family, friends, classmates etc.
You can also make purchasing the balloon a fun experience too. Engage your child(ren) by decorating the balloon, deciding how much to inflate your balloon alongside the thickness of the rubber. Which outcome will make the best option with the prevailing weather conditions?
Each balloon will be in with a chance to win £500, Apple iPad, £100, Book Tokens and even a free night of babysitting . Buy balloons at https://ecoracing.co/user/page/1519. The race launches on Sunday 4 April. Thank you to Sargeants Estate Agents for sponsoring this event.
