  • Chair of Board leaves Fielding

Tue 30 Mar 2021 Peter Dunmall

Rebecca Preston, Chair of Governors, resigns from our Board because she is relocating to live outside of Ealing. Rebecca moves house and her children leave Fielding at the end of this school term. We thank Rebecca for her contribution to the school and wish her family happiness in their new home.

Rebecca has led the Board maintaining the excellence at Fielding, including through a new Ofsted inspection framework. Her legacy includes an even more professional approach to governance of the school through the appointment of Board members with professional skills and knowledge matched to the needs of the school.

David Millican, Vice Chair, becomes Chair until the next Board meeting. Governors will then elect a new Chair. During the summer term, we will also review skills and knowledge needs of the Board and then seek nominations from parents to fill Rebecca’s parent governor vacancy.
  • PTFA Balloon Race - 8 days to go!

    Fri 26 Mar 2021

There are just eight days to go until the first Fielding Virtual Balloon Race takes place.  We have only managed to sell 26% of our balloon allocation so please help the PTFA by purchasing some of our £3 balloons.  Not only will you be able to track each of your balloons over a seven day period, you will also be able to see where you are on the leaderboard amongst family, friends, classmates etc.

You can also make purchasing the balloon a fun experience too.  Engage your child(ren) by decorating the balloon, deciding how much to inflate your balloon alongside the thickness of the rubber.  Which outcome will make the best option with the prevailing weather conditions?

Each balloon will be in with a chance to win £500, Apple iPad, £100, Book Tokens and even a free night of babysitting .  Buy balloons at https://ecoracing.co/user/page/1519.  The race launches on Sunday 4 April.  Thank you to Sargeants Estate Agents for sponsoring this event.
