Today we took a group of 11 keen to be triathletes to Willesden Sport Centre for this years triathlon. The kids braved some terrible weather to get there and found out when we got there that the whole event had to be moved inside. So our adapted triathlon now consisted of an 80m swim, an 800m bike ride on an exercise bike and a 100m sprint on an indoor track. Everyone completed the course well and was very excited to receive a tshirt and medal at the finish line. Big congratulations everyone!
Today Fielding took 17 children to Willesden Sport Centre to take part in this years Brownlee Mini Triathlon. As always the children started the event with a 50m swim, followed by an 800m cycle and ending with a 400m run. Our children loved getting involved in the event and were rewarded for their hard work with t-shirts, medals and a squad photo with an Olympian!
Today we were very excited to bring children back to take part in the Brownlee Brothers Triathlon, this year taking place at Willesden Sport Centre. We had a squad of 14 children today who all turned up to swim, cycle and run. The day wasn't competitive, it was about giving children the opportunity to take part in a different sport that they possibly haven't tried before. Everybody finished the day with a t-shirt, a swim cap and a medal so hopefully we have inspired some of our children to give triathlon another go outside of school. Here are some of our favourite pictures from the day.
Today 18 Fielding children took part in the Brownlee Foundation Mini Triathlon held at The Park Club in Acton. The children all completed a 25m swim, 800m bike ride and a 400m run, in what for many, was their first triathlon. Today's triathlon wasn't competitive, although many of our children didn't realise that and I am sure some will be claiming that they won! It was a great day, enjoyed by all of the children and the parents who came to support. Here are some of our favourite snaps from the day.
