Values Newsletter - July 2026

We are delighted to share the July edition of our Values Newsletter, created by our dedicated Year 6 Values Champions. The purpose of the Values Newsletter is to continue raising the profile of values-based living and values in action across our school, led and shaped by the children themselves. Each month, the newsletter highlights the school's chosen value for KS1 and KS2. This month, our focus is Empathy. Inside, you will find ideas, reflections and practical suggestions to help bring this value to life both in school and at home. A special section is also included to support families in exploring empathy together.

These newsletters sit alongside our existing values posters and classroom resources, enriching lessons and offering further opportunities for children to reflect on what our values look like in everyday practice.

This edition is particularly special as it is the tenth edition of the Values Newsletter and the final edition of this academic year. We would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to our Year 6 Values Champions for their enthusiasm, creativity and commitment in creating these newsletters throughout the year. Their leadership has helped to inspire our school community and bring our values to life in meaningful ways. As they prepare for the next stage of their journey, we wish them every success and happiness as they move on to their high schools.

We would also like to thank all our parents and carers for their wonderful engagement with the newsletter this year. Your support has helped strengthen the connection between home and school, ensuring that our values are celebrated beyond the classroom. In particular, thank you for taking the time each month to nominate your children through our Ripples of Kindness initiative. It has been a privilege to read the many examples of kindness, compassion and thoughtfulness demonstrated by our pupils throughout the year.

The Ripples of Kindness initiative will continue next academic year, and we look forward to celebrating many more acts of kindness within our community. If you would like to find out more or nominate your child in the future, please follow the link below:
