We are delighted to share another set of outstanding pupil outcomes across Fielding Primary School. From our youngest learners in Nursery to our Year 6 leavers, pupils continue to achieve highly, make strong progress and demonstrate the benefits of our ambitious curriculum and inclusive approach.
Our youngest children continue to thrive.
In Nursery, around 90% of children achieved expected standards in reading, writing and mathematics, with virtually all children making expected progress throughout the year. This reflects the consistent and high-quality provision across our Nursery classes.
Reception children also achieved excellent outcomes, with a 93% Good Level of Development (GLD). Attainment in reading (97%), writing (94%) and mathematics (95%) was particularly strong, demonstrating that children leave the Early Years exceptionally well prepared for Key Stage 1.
Learning to read is one of the most important skills children develop, and this remains a real strength at Fielding.
This year:
These outcomes reflect the strength of our early reading provision and ensure that the vast majority of children are able to access the wider curriculum confidently.
Pupils in Years 1 and 2 achieved very high standards across the curriculum.
In Year 2:
These outcomes provide a strong foundation for future success as pupils move into Key Stage 2.
Across Years 3 to 6, reading and mathematics were particular strengths, with consistently high attainment and evidence of strong progress.
Highlights include:
Year 5 stood out as an especially strong cohort, particularly in reading and mathematics, with excellent outcomes for many pupils, including those with additional needs.
Our Year 4 pupils performed very strongly in the Multiplication Tables Check (MTC).
These results reflect pupils' strong fluency with number facts and provide an excellent foundation for future mathematical learning.
Our Year 6 pupils achieved outcomes that were significantly above national averages.
Excluding ARP pupils:
These results build on Fielding's strong track record and reflect the hard work, resilience and commitment shown by pupils throughout their primary education.
One of the most encouraging aspects of this year's outcomes is the strong progress made by pupils with SEND. Our analysis identifies SEND progress as one of the school's strongest success stories, particularly in reading and mathematics, with many pupils improving their attainment between assessment points.
These outcomes reflect the dedication of our pupils, staff and families. Reading continues to be a major strength, mathematics outcomes remain exceptionally strong, phonics results are exceptional and children are making excellent progress from the very start of their learning journey.
We are incredibly proud of what our pupils have achieved this year and look forward to building on these successes in the years ahead.
