As part of our ongoing commitment to keeping children safe, healthy and fully included in school life, we are reviewing and updating Individual Healthcare Plans (IHPs) for pupils with medical needs.
Parents of children who have been prescribed an adrenaline auto-injector (EpiPen, Jext or Emerade) should already have received their child's Individual Healthcare Plan by email.
This week, parents of children who are prescribed antihistamine medication for allergy management will also receive an Individual Healthcare Plan by email.
These plans are an important part of ensuring that staff have accurate, up-to-date information about your child's medical needs, medication, symptoms, triggers and emergency procedures. They also help us meet our responsibilities under national guidance for supporting pupils with medical conditions in school.
