Boy's PEAL Shield vs Mount Carmel

On Friday 17th January, Fielding hosted Mount Carmel in the PEAL Shield. It had been a few weeks since the last game before Christmas and the boys were excited to be back playing together again.

In an emphatic performance, the boys competed in a commanding 4-0 win, giving Mount Carmel little chances throughout the game. From the first whistle, they showed intensity through their pressing and eagerness to win every challenge. With many chances created, we finally took the lead with a goal from Elias (6F). Going in at half time, we knew we needed another early goal to ease to pressure and not long after it came with a brilliant effort from Rory (6S) who guided the ball into the top corner. It did not take long for the third goal and this came again from Rory (6S) as his shot took a deflection which snuck in at the near post. The fourth goal came from a free-kick, with Conor (6H) hitting the ball with power and precision, giving the goalkeeper no chance at saving it.
