Royal Albert Hall Auditions - Years 5 and 6

Exciting news!

We are delighted to be invited to participate in the ‘Ealing Together: Harmony in Diversity’ concert performance at the prestigious Royal Albert Hall (RAH). This event offers a unique opportunity for our pupils to showcase their talents and be part of a memorable experience that celebrates unity and diversity through music.

To take part, you will need to:
. Audition - vocals (in class, commencing on the                    week of the 6th January).
If successful:
  • Commit to learning the repertoire (including a brand new piece written by Laura Rossi and Michael Rosen).
  • Commit to a half-day rehearsal on Saturday 14th June, which will be compulsory for all children taking part.
  • Available on the 24th June for the rehearsal (during the day and the concert in the evening.
  • Parents purchase tickets to the performance
  • Given the significant expenses involved in organising such a prestigious event, we require an enhanced level of commitment from all pupils, which means we will ask for a £15 deposit (via MCAS - details TBC) to ensure that you are committed to rehearsals (at school), the Saturday rehearsal at Ealing Christian Centre (3-hour rehearsal, times TBC) and the final rehearsal at RAH and concert performance. Your deposit will be returned to you after the concert date. However, if you can not make the Saturday rehearsal or the concert date, the deposit will not be returned.

We have been given 40 spaces so please get practising your singing audition piece. Duets will be allowed, if both singers have a part to sing solo.

Good Luck!
