On Friday 8th November, Fielding took two teams to Osterley Rangers to compete in this year's Featherstone Tag Rugby competition. Both our Performance and Development teams demonstrated resilience and fantastic teamwork throughout the competition, whilst also showcasing their skills in fast-paced, high energy matches.

 

Our Performance team won the group with 3 wins out of 3 and went on to place fourth overall, after a close game against St Marks, which ended 25 - 20 after extra time but they never gave up right until the last whistle.

 

Our development team faced a tough group and despite this, showed a great attitude and mindset going into each game. Placing third in the group, we were unable to progress into the cup rounds but we progressed into the Plate and so had a chance to compete for this. We faced Allenby Primary School in the final and secured the win with a final score of 20 - 15.

 

All the children done incredibly well and this was mentioned by many of the organisers who were impressed with their skills and rugby knowledge.
