Today, four of our most gifted Year 6 mathematicians represented Fielding in the area heats of the National Mathematics Championships. They were competing against over 300 other Maths Quiz teams to answer a variety of questions which tested their problem solving and reasoning skills against the clock. 

The heats today were an online event where we competed live against other teams for a chance to represent the school again in the next stage of the competition. After 30 questions and an hour of intense Maths, we were delighted to find out that we had finished in joint 15th place today which earnt us a place in the semi finals.

We will take part in the semi final in another online competition on 11th June with successful teams from that stage qualifying for the National Finals at Oxford University on 28th June.
