2-0 Victory for Year 5 & 6 Girls Performance team against Holy Family

In an exciting showdown between Fielding Primary School and Holy Family, the Year 5 & 6 Girls Performance Team displayed exemplary skill and determination over three rounds of intense football.

 

Round 1 saw Fielding seize an early lead with a brilliant goal from Qamara (5S), securing a 1-0 victory. The team showcased their offensive prowess, setting the tone for the match.

 

Despite Holy Family tightening their defense in Round 2, the game ended in a goalless draw as both teams battled fiercely for possession.

 

Undeterred, Fielding staged a remarkable comeback in Round 3, clinching another 1-0 victory with yet another goal from Qamara (5S). The team's resilience and teamwork were evident throughout the match.

 

Special recognition goes to goalkeeper Adelaide (6S) for her outstanding performance, maintaining a clean sheet throughout all three games. Additionally, defenders Darcy (6P), Miral (5H), Alice (5S), and Emily (6S) demonstrated exceptional skill in getting rid of the ball from Holy Family's attack, ensuring the ball never reached the goal.

 

In attack, Coco (5P) and Qamara (5S) displayed impressive chemistry, despite adjustments due to Flo G (6S) being ill. Daisy (5P) seamlessly filled in, showcasing excellent improvement with her dynamic runs and decisive plays on the wing.

 

Overall, Fielding Primary School's Year 5 & 6 Girls Performance Team exhibited commendable teamwork, determination, and skill, earning a well-deserved victory against Holy Family. This game was designed to prepare the girls for the London Games on Tuesday 19th March.
