Year 6 Girls Cricket Team Shine in Inter- School Competition

Our Year 6 Girls Cricket team displayed incredible skill, teamwork, and determination in this year's Ealing Schools’ competition, earning a well-deserved place in the semi-finals, and finishing an impressive 4th overall.

Throughout the group stages, the team showed outstanding talent and sportsmanship. Their batting was consistently strong, with several players hitting boundaries. The bowling unit was equally effective, with accurate deliveries and some brilliant wicket-taking moments that kept the opposition on the back foot. A special mention must go to our fielding skills, which included sharp catches and quick run-outs that made a real difference in tightly contested matches.

These stellar performances saw the team qualify for the semi-finals, a fantastic achievement in itself. In the semi’s, they faced tough opposition in the form of the reigning champions Little Ealing. Despite a valiant effort, the girls were defeated in a hard-fought match. They gave it their all and can be proud of their performance against such a strong side.

In the final play-off for 3rd place against Lady Margaret, the team once again showed resilience and skill, but just missed out on a podium finish, securing 4th place overall out of a very competitive field.

We are incredibly proud of all the players. Not only for their impressive cricketing abilities, but also for the way they supported one another and represented the school with pride and positivity.

A massive congratulations to Alex (6H), Aliza (6H), Coralie (6H), Josie (6H), Serena (6H), Coco (6P), Emma (6P), Elli (6S).
