Residential Trips: Years 3, 4, 5 & 6 book now, deadline extended to 3rd October!

We have extended the booking deadline for our residential experiences until 3rd October. Thank you to those parents who have already reserved their child's place.

So far, we have around 70% of all pupils in each year group signed up. If you haven't signed up yet, here is a reminder of our residential programme and why we do it.

Our Offer

We offer four residential trips across Key Stage 2, each one building on the last and culminating in the Year 6 French trip, an essential part of our French curriculum. These trips are not just enriching experiences; they are vital opportunities for pupils to feel included, connected, and part of the wider school community. Whether it’s kayaking in Burgundy, team-building on the Isle of Wight, bushcraft on the school field, or practising French in a bustling market, our residentials are designed to build confidence, independence, and lifelong memories. We’re proud to say that there is space for every pupil to attend. No one will miss out!

Why are these trips so important?
Shared experiences like these are vital for all children. Taking part helps build friendships, a sense of belonging, and self-belief. Missing out is more than just missing an adventure, it’s missing a chance to feel included and valued as part of our school community.

Gentle support for big steps: SEND and first-time travellers

We understand that the idea of your child staying away from home, especially for the first time, can feel daunting. That’s why we’re committed to making our residential trips inclusive, supportive, and accessible for every child. Pupils with SEND are carefully supported through personalised planning, thoughtful adjustments, and close collaboration between staff and families. For children who have never stayed away before, we can suggest extra steps to build their confidence gradually, for example, through pre-trip visits, buddy systems, and regular check-ins with familiar adults. Our experienced and compassionate staff are there every step of the way to help every child feel safe, supported, and excited to take part.

How to book:
To secure your child’s place, please make a deposit on MCAS by Friday 3rd October. Full payment schedules and trip details are available on our Residential Trips pages.

💡 Pupil Premium Passport Holders
If your child has a Pupil Premium Passport, please email Jane Peterson at finance@fielding.ealing.sch.uk to confirm attendance. You do not need to book via MCAS, we’ll take care of the rest. For those eligible for the pupil premium passport, the Years 3, 4 and 5trips are free and the Year 6 trip to France reduced in price.

Finance should never be a barrier.
If you have any concerns about payment or need further support, please contact me directly and in confidence. We want every child to have the chance to take part.
