The PTFA eco-team are planning a sustainable initiative around nativity costumes. Some parents have kindly been donating their children’s previous year’s costumes to Reception pupils. Thank you for all the donations!
In view of this, we are organising a nativity costumes library to be launched as a pop-up during the next pre-loved uniform sale. We will also be accepting further donations on the day, and collected costumes may then be borrowed from the “library”. A small maintenance fee will be charged for cleaning and maintaining the costumes, and these funds can further support PTFA activities.
The next PTFA pre-loved uniform sale + nativity costumes pop-up is taking place on Saturday 29th November 10.00-11.00am.
Reception parents are then kindly invited to return their children’s nativity costumes to their class reps or at the Saturday 10th January 2026 sale so that we can clean and store them for next year’s Reception pupils.
This initiative would be a great opportunity to lead by example, teaching our children about environmental impacts of fashion waste and about the value of reuse. Thank you very much for your support!
