The Performance team made a brilliant start to their season with a hard-fought and well-deserved 5-4 victory in their opening match. 

Before taking to the court, the team showed excellent sportsmanship and team spirit by supporting the Development team during their match. From the sidelines, they cheered enthusiastically and offered encouragement. 

Ahead of their own game, the players spent time off court reflecting together and discussing their roles and tactics. During the match, the players rotated through several positions, showing great adaptability and teamwork as they adjusted to new roles across the court. Despite their strong effort, the team found themselves 2-0 down as they entered the 3rd quarter. 

However, their determination and resilience quickly shone through. The players grew in confidence, and began to turn the game around with some excellent passages of play. With strong defending, accurate shooting, and great communication, they steadily closed the gap before pushing ahead in the final stages. 

Their persistence paid off, and the team finished with a fantastic 5-4 win.  

A special mention to Alexa (6F) who was nominated as ‘Player of the Match’ by the opposition. Well done to all the players!
