The boys played their final group game of the PEAL Shield, going up against St Rapahel. Having already qualified for the Quarter-Finals, they went into the game knowing today's result would not impact our progression in the competition. However, with St Raphael’s and Fielding level on points, there was added motivation to top the group and maintain our 100% win record.

 

From the first minute, the boys pressed relentlessly, not allowing St Rapahel to settle into the game. This allowed us to control the game and create a number of goal-scoring opportunities, which we were not able to take unfortunately. The boys' persistence paid off after Mack (5P) anticipated the ball into the box, guiding it into the goal to give Fielding the lead. Going into half-time leading, we knew that we had full control of the game and were unlucky not to have added to our score and so the boys came out confident and focused on the task at hand. The second half resembled much of the first, with Fielding controlling the ball well and creating some great scoring opportunities. With the final whistle being blown, the boys had secured the win to top the group and an excellent performance.
