Congratulations to our boys performance team who are now through to the semi-finals of the PEAL Shield.
The boys produced an excellent performance to secure a convincing 7-2 win. The game began well as we took an early 1-0 lead, but St Marks responded by scoring to make it 1-1. We regained control to go 2-1 ahead, but conceded a goal which Myles was so unfortunate not to save. Despite St Marks bringing the game back level, the team did not let this affect them and were resilient in their efforts, remaining positive and pushing on for the next goal immediately.
A few minutes later and with Jamie moving into midfield, he hit a brilliant shot, giving the goalkeeper no chance of saving and putting us into the lead once again. The boys then stepped it up to another level and took full control of the game, showing dominance with a number of chances but were unfortunate not to take them. With strong attacking play and solid defending, we were able to comfortably pull away and this saw a series of well worked goals, extending our lead to 7-2, reflecting the boys' resilience and quality.
Overall, this was a great team performance and the boys should all be extremely proud of themselves.
