Parents invited to shape SEND services in Ealing

Families across Ealing are being encouraged to share their views as the borough’s Co‑Production Project continues to grow.

A newly formed Parent Steering Group has identified improving support for children in education ,with or without EHCPs, as the top priority. Plans are underway for a major September event where parents hope to speak directly with school leaders, SENCos and governors.

New ways to gather feedback have also launched, including an “Experience Log” for professionals to record parents’ views and an online survey open to all families.

Recent SEND Roadshows have highlighted both successes and areas for improvement, with parents asking for clearer communication and more opportunities for open discussion. The next event in July will focus on preparing for adulthood and will include more informal time with professionals.

The project continues to bring together parents, services and local organisations to improve SEND provision, with ongoing work on EHCP processes, the Local Offer website and a new Co‑Production Charter.

Parents are encouraged to read the full newsletter (attached) and get involved. Every voice helps shape better support for children and families across Ealing.
