Welcome back to an exciting new Autumn Term of music at Fielding!
Please see below for important information, including audition dates, concert dates, ensemble start dates, EMS updates, and details of the musical clubs run by Ms Lynch.

🎶 Auditions

Year 6 – Year 6 Music Assembly – Audition Tuesday 22nd September (in class). Make sure you prepare! Sign-up sheets will be in your classroom. Show date: Monday 19th October (in school time, pupils and teachers only) 

Year 5 – Year 5 Music Assembly – Audition Wednesday 7th October (in class). Make sure you prepare! Sign-up sheets will be in your classroom. Show date: Monday 16th November (in school time, pupils and teachers only)

🎶 Class Ensembles

Year 3 – Soprano Recorder – Please remember to bring your recorders in, wk. beginning14th September

  • Fridays (during class time)

Year 4 – Ukulele

  • Thursday mornings (during class time)

Year 5 –

  • Wednesday mornings (during class time)

🎼EMS Individual and 1:1 lessons

🎼 EMS Music Ensemble Updates

Woodwind Ensemble – Starts date 10th September

  • Thursdays, 7:45am
  • Music Room
  • Open to pupils with at least one year of experience

String Ensemble – Start date18th September

Fridays, 3:30pm

  • Music Room
  • Open to pupils with at least one year of experience

Children will be dismissed from the Music Room after rehearsal.

🎻 Fielding Orchestra – Practise starts date 7th October

Auditions will be held on Monday 28th September (for new members) in the music room during first break and at 12pm – teachers will be notified if children would like to audition. Sign up sheets will go to classes. No percussion musicians needed. You need to have been learning for 1 year (at least) – Year 3 - 6

  • Practise – Wednesdays
  • Setup: 7:30am | Practise: 7:45–8:30am

🎤 Junior Choir Club

  • Concert dates TBC

🎤 Young Voices – Start date 6th October

  • Tuesdays 4:30-5:30pm
  • Music room (parents pick up from outside the music room.

🎭 Musical Theatre

  • Performance date TBC

🌟 Music Stars

  • If your child is involved in any musical activities outside of school, we would love to celebrate their achievements.
