The Years 5 & 6 Girls Development Team had a fantastic start to their season in the first round of fixtures. The girls opened with a narrow but well-earned 1-0 victory over Havelock, thanks to a brilliant goal from Isla. In their second game, despite a strong defensive effort, they were edged out 1-0 by West Acton.

However, the team quickly bounced back with a confident 2-0 win against Allenby, with Marie and Araiya both finding the back of the net. In their final match, Fielding faced Southfields, who were undefeated up to that point. The girls displayed exceptional teamwork and resilience, securing a thrilling 1-0 victory with a decisive goal from Lola.

At the end of the first round, Fielding's Development Team are joint 1st with Southfields, tied on points but just behind on goal difference. It’s been an impressive start, and the team’s hard work and determination have truly paid off. Well done, girls!
