Red, blue, yellow and green, what do these colourful boxes in the Wyndham Road playground mean?
From today, pupils in clubs located in years 4 and 5 will be given a coloured sports sash to wear at the start of their session. At the end of the session the club provider and children will make their way together to the same coloured box on the year 3 playground. Children must wait in the box, when a child acknowledges their parent/guardian has arrived in the waiting area and informs the provider their sash will be returned to the provider and the child may be dismissed to the parent/guardian waiting behind the Wait Line. The collection point and band colour will be the same each week.
Specialist clubs and childcare undergo regular review and evaluation. Last term some clubs were relocated to classrooms in years 4 and 5. Part of this reorganisation involved a planned additional layer of safety in the collection procedure for some of the clubs.
