Girls Performance Football Team Storms into the Ealing Cup Finals!

In an exhilarating display of skill and sportsmanship, the Performance Team triumphed 8-1 in their semi- final match, securing a well- deserved spot in the upcoming finals. The girls dominated possession from the first whistle, showcasing their sharp attacking play and solid defensive organisation throughout the game. Their tireless work on and off the ball showcased not only their sporting prowess, but also the school values of respect and empathy. Values which they upheld with pride throughout the game.

Exceptional skills was on display across the pitch, with Coco (6P) netting an impressive four goals. She was supported by Qamara (6S) who scored two goals from magnificent runs, Daisy (6P) who scored one goal from a skillful finish inside the box, and an unfortunate own goal from their opposition.

While the score line reflected their superiority, the match wasn't without drama. In the final minutes, our goalkeeper Alice (5P) who had a relatively quiet match, got her hands to the ball, but the momentum of the ball saw it agonisingly creep just over the line, giving the opposition a late consolation goal.

Still, the result was never in doubt. The final whistle confirmed a triumphant win for our team, who now eagerly await to see which side they will face in the finals. However, this match was more than a just a victory. It was a proud reflection of the values we stand for, and a testament to the unity, resilience and sportsmanship of our girls. Bring on the finals!
