As if the sunshine and convivial atmosphere last Saturday wasn’t enough, early indications show that families and friends of Fielding have helped raise over £13,000 at our 70th Anniversary Summer Fair – and the coffers are still being counted.

An exceptional day of fun, food and festivities, the Summer Fair’s success is only ever as strong as our community of sponsors, volunteers and supporters, so let us take this opportunity to thank everyone who attended, our headline sponsor RSK and everyone involved in making it happen. In particular, the fair’s organising committee, the classes who ran the array of stalls, the parents, children and teachers for the musical interludes, Jateen Patel and all the school staff, Steven Hirschorn and the PTFA Treasury team, Chanelle Corriette for her excellent poster design, Giles Martin for arranging the licenses, a special shout-out for Fielding’s Nursery who ran the most excellent BBQ and of course, Mr Dunmall for his continued support.

As we look forward to a new intake of Fielding PTFA supporters with the coming school year, we must also recognise our outgoing Year 6 parents, particularly Charlotte Douglas for her sterling service to the Treasury PTFA team. And finally, we thank Jen Timoshanko, who is stepping down as PTFA Co-Chair this year, for all her service.
