Year 6 and Year 3 class reach number 1 in Xmas TTRS charts

The results are in for our Christmas Special of the TTRS Battle of the Bands in KS2.

In the Years 3 & 4 Battle, congratulations to 3H who scored a class average of 1291 points over the Christmas break on Times Tables Rock Stars. Also a big congratulations to Alexander in 3H who was the top performer in Years 3 and 4 with a massive 16,796 points.

In the Years 5 & 6 Battle, congratulations to 6S who scored a class average of 128 points over the festive season. Another huge well done to the individual champion in Years 5 and 6, Alvin in 6S, who scored 3,921 points.

Class trophies and individual prizes will be on their way to the new champions this week. A big well done to all KS2 band members for participating and fulfilling your roles by showing great teamwork to earn points for your class band.

Since returning to school this morning, pupils were buzzing with excitement as they spoke about the results of the Christmas battle and were proud of the contributions they made to their class score.

Please now continue to practice at home at least four times a week for at least 8 minutes.

If you are in Year 3, continue to practice on Garage mode as you attempt to turn your heatmap green. 'Gone Green' certificates will start being awarded to children who achieve a completely green heat map!

If you are in Year 4, continue to practice on Garage mode if you are still working towards your 'Gone Green' certificate. Please also start to play on Soundcheck mode if you haven't already, which tests your recall for all the times tables in a similar format to the MTC which you will be completing in the Summer term. Year 4 pupils will complete the Unofficial MTC on TTRS in school next week to check our current times table fluency and recall.

If you are in Year 5 and 6, check your heatmap to make sure it is green. If it is you will be awarded a 'Gone Green' certificate this week. If it isn't, get back on Garage mode and go green! Please also continue to have fun testing yourself on Soundcheck to ensure your multiplication fluency and recall remains high.

For all KS2 classes, don't forget to try to improve your rock status on Studio mode once your heatmap has turned green!

Year group battles have started again this week and our next Battle of the Bands will take place over the Easter holidays so continue to practice to boost your speed, fluency and confidence.
