On Wednesday 1st November, we took 8 children to Featherstone High School to take part in a Badminton Festival.
For many of the children, this was their first time ever playing the sport, so it was all very new but they all took it in their stride as they demonstrated some amazing skills and hand-eye coordination throughout the event. As a group, we went round to each station together, where we had an activity that we were to complete in a set time and as a school and had to score as many points as possible.
The activities were:
- Catch the Bird
- Switch
- Egg Baskets
- Ladders
- Caterpillars
- Backhand Tap ups
- Badders Baseball
Points were awarded for each event and Fielding ended up with a total score of 228 points, recording the highest score on the day for both the Egg Baskets and Backhand Tap ups which was a great achievement!
The children looked to thoroughly enjoy the event and were all awarded with certificates.
Well done to the following children..
Yusuf (6F), Samar (5F), Jessica (6F), Thomas (6P), Abdulmalik (5F), Inas (5F), Safaa (6P), Hadi (5H)
