At the end of last term, staff surprised Deputy Head Teacher, Clare Haines, with a special breakfast party to celebrate her 20 years of service. It was a lovely moment to honour someone who shapes our school.
Clare’s work touches everyone—staff, pupils and families. She’s known for her exceptional organisation, support to build colleagues' ability, and her compassion. Pupils benefit every day from her high standards in curriculum design, teaching, and behaviour management.
Clare has a rich career in education, including expert knowledge of leading special educational needs, backed by her master’s degree. She’s also a keen reader, always bringing the latest academic research into school life to help us focus on what matters most. Beyond Fielding, Clare works part-time as a Lead Inspector for Ofsted. Her sharp eye and thoughtful judgement help us keep improving.
Clare is part of a strong leadership team, most of whom have worked together at Fielding for over 10 years. Our shared experience means decisions are made together, with care and wisdom.
