Morning organisation matters: Help your child start the day right.

As we settle into the school term, we’d like to remind all families of the importance of being organised in the mornings. A smooth start to the day helps children feel calm, confident, and ready to learn, and it begins at home.

🎒 Morning Checklist: Have You Got Everything?

Please ensure your child arrives at school with everything they need for the day. This includes:

  • Book bags, reading books/reading records
  • Water bottles
  • Morning snacks
  • Lunch boxes
  • Musical Instruments

We understand that mornings can be busy, but bringing forgotten items in later disrupts learning and places extra pressure on office staff. If a child forgets something and it is brought into school late, children will be asked to collect it from the office at break or lunchtime.

🧥 Name It to Keep It

Please make sure all belongings are clearly named, including:

  • School uniform (especially jumpers, fleeces and coats)
  • Water bottles
  • Book bags

Unlabelled items are difficult to return and often end up in lost property. A simple name label or permanent marker can make all the difference!

💡 Top Tip for Parents

Why not create a “morning station” at home with everything your child needs for the day? A checklist by the door or a visual reminder can help children take responsibility and build independence.

Thank you for your continued support in helping our school run smoothly and ensuring every child has the best possible start to their day.
