The boys' Performance squad travelled to Hayes Goals today to compete in the Y5 & 6 Featherstone tournament. After their win last week, they went into this confident but fully focused.

They performed brilliantly from the very first game all the way through to the final, with an intensity and determination to win. Conceding only one goal throughout, it summed up a fantastic team effort both in attack and defence, with Patrick making key tackles to stop attacking threats from the opposition and William's determination to win the ball and set up multiple goal-scoring opportunities. They demonstrated great control and skill and this was highlighted on numerous occasions with superb individual goals from Ralph, Xavi and Mack. 

In the final, we played against Southfield Primary School, who we had already beaten 3-0 in our group stage game. The boys were very dominant in possession and patient, creating multiple scoring opportunities, but we were just unable to take our chances. With the game ending 0-0, we knew it was going to penalties, but the boys were still confident. Penalties were taken and scored by Oscar, Jamie and Samuel and Myles providing a huge presence in goal to force a miss from Southfield, securing the trophy for Fielding.

Today truly was a team effort and they were all simply brilliant. They deserve huge credit for their determination, resilience and togetherness, as this could not have been achieved without each one of them. Congratulations on a fantastic achievement!
