Let's ensure we can keep cooking & gardening on our school curriculum.

Check your MCAS account have your made the voluntary donation for cooking & gardening sessions?

We are proud to offer our pupils the chance to take part in engaging cooking and gardening sessions during the school day. Pupils use fresh ingredients from our school garden as well as from the supermarket to gain hands-on experience that boosts confidence, creativity, and teamwork. These sessions not only teach valuable life skills and support learning across subjects like design & technology, maths, science, but are also closely aligned with our school’s healthy eating ethos.

To help cover additional costs, required to supplement the fresh ingredients from the school garden, a voluntary annual contribution of £13.00 has been added to MCAS. Unfortunately, only 29% of parents have contributed so far. Whilst this payment is voluntary, we must stress that we cannot continue offering these sessions without sufficient financial support. We are also unable to redirect funds to other essential resources and learning opportunities across the school.

To make payment and help sustain this valuable opportunity for our pupils, please log into MCAS and select Cooking & Gardening 2025-26 from the Clubs menu. For more information, please refer to our Charging and Remissions Policy, available here.

Many thanks to all parents who have already paid. Your support is appreciated.
