Successful Launch of Family-Style Dining

We are thrilled to announce the successful launch of our new family-style dining service for pupils in Years 3, 4. 5 and 6. This initiative, which began after the Easter holiday, has already made a significant positive impact on pupils' dining experience. All pupils from Reception to Year 6 are enjoying the revamped experience.

Enhanced Dining Experience

The transition to family-style dining means that all pupils are now served at their tables by their friends, reducing waiting and queuing times. This change has created a more relaxed and enjoyable atmosphere during meal times, allowing pupils to focus on their food and social interactions. The feedback from pupils and the lunchtimes staff has been overwhelmingly positive, highlighting the benefits of this new approach.

Nutritious and Delicious Meals

Our partnership with ISS (Feeding Hungry Minds) has ensured that meals are cooked from fresh ingredients daily, meeting the government's food standards for schools. The new menu includes a variety of nutritious options, with meat dishes served at the table alongside plenty of vegetables. Pupils with special dietary needs, including vegetarian and Halal meals, continue to be catered for effectively.

Positive Feedback from Parents

Parents have expressed their appreciation for the improved meal service. The recent coffee mornings held on April 29th and 30th provided an opportunity for parents to meet ISS staff, taste the new menu items, and see the quality of food served. The feedback gathered during these sessions has been invaluable in refining our approach and ensuring we meet the needs of all our pupils.

Sweet Desserts and Balanced Choices

In response to suggestions from parents, ISS has introduced smaller portions of cake-based desserts, allowing children to opt for fruit as well. This change aligns with our commitment to providing balanced and healthy meal options.

Continued Engagement and Improvement

We are committed to continuously improving our meal service and welcome ongoing feedback from parents and pupils. The ISS termly newsletter provides further insights into our menu choices and the rationale behind serving sweet desserts. We encourage parents to share their thoughts and suggestions to help us maintain the high standards we have set.
