Our Development team kicked off their season with an exciting opening match, eager to face their first opponents of the year. With players rotating a variety of positions on and off the court, everyone played an important role in supporting the team throughout the game. 

After a competitive first half, our team found themselves 3-0 down. However, following a reflective team talk before the final two quarters, the players returned to the court determined to turn things around. 

Showing great teamwork, passing and defensive skills, the team worked tirelessly to add to the scoresheet and build momentum. Their determination paid off as Grace H (6F) scored our first goal and thereafter the team scored a series of well-worked goals, eventually taking the lead and finishing the match with a fantastic 5-4 victory. 

It was a brilliant start to the season, and a wonderful example of how reflection, teamwork and perseverance can help turn a match around.  

A special mention to Grace H (6F) who was nominated as ‘Player of the Match’ by her opponents. Well done to all the players for their continued effort and enthusiasm.
