This week, the government announced plans to change school uniform policy, limiting the number of compulsory branded items to three, plus a branded tie for secondary age students.

 

The new rule is part of the Children's Wellbeing and Schools Bill, which still has several stages of parliamentary process to go through before becoming a law. 

 

Fielding's uniform policy already meets the proposed new rules. There are 2 compulsory, branded items:

• the Fielding blue sweatshirt or cardigan
• and for PE, the Fielding Royal blue T-shirt with white Fielding logo

 

All other items are optional, including:

• Fielding fleece
• Fielding blue or white Polo shirt

 

Wherever possible, plain items - available from a supplier of your choice - can also be worn, including:

• plain white Polo shirt
• plain grey or black school style trousers, skirt or pinafore dress
• grey school style shorts
• blue & white gingham style summer dress

 

The PTFA also offers a pre-loved uniform shop, open on Fridays and Saturdays through the school year.
