Learning a musical instrument requires a long-term commitment and alot of perseverance. Sometimes a cancellation can be avoidable as there may be things we can do to help. Before cancelling, If you are concerned with any aspects of your child’s instrumental tuition, in the first instance please communicate with the tutor via the practise diary or contact the Specialist Music Teacher via the admin email: firstname.lastname@example.org
However we do appreciate that in some circumstances continuing lessons may not be the best option for your child. In the event that you need to cancel lessons please read the information below:
1. Cancellations will only be processed if the cancellation form available on this webpage is completed and returned to the Finance Manager at email@example.com.
2. In order to maintain a high standard of instrumental tuition, we have to give our tutors adequate notice of their hours each term. In our Terms & Conditions on our school website, half a term’s notice is required for cancellations. The cancellation form must be submitted by the following deadlines:
Thursday 14th February 2019 – for lessons ceasing in the Summer term
Friday 17th May 2019- for lessons ceasing in September 2019.
The cancellation deadline is also written on the bottom of every instrumental timetable each term.
On receipt of a cancellation form, your child will then be removed from the timetable for the new term. However, if you submit a form after these deadlines then we cannot process it in time so you will still be liable to pay the next term’s fees because the teacher will have already been booked.
3. The cancellation form is the only accepted method to cancel lessons.
We are unable to give refunds mid- term as the teacher has already been booked and paid for the full term, therefore it would make sense for your child to attend all lessons that term as they will have to be paid for.
