The nursery at Fielding Primary School is where your child's educational journey begins and adventures await. Fielding Nursery offers teacher-led education for three and four year old's and is a fantastic place for children to begin their learning and development.

'The nursery has all the advantages of being part of an “outstanding” primary school' (Ofsted Feb 2017) while offering the flexibility of care, including full time from 7.30am to 6pm and in addition holiday care, usually associated with private nurseries.

We are a 100 place Nursery led by an Early Years Lead Teacher, and dedicated Nursery Manager & Operational Lead.  Our Teacher's are responsible for the educational content and delivering the early years curriculum within an environment which enables outstanding provision for learning, development, growth and hunger for each child to reach their full potential. Our experienced Nursery team includes Early Years Practitioners (EYP), Teaching Assistants (TA) and Play Workers (PW) all with a focus on excellence in education. In addition, during eight weeks of the school holidays the learning continues with a greater emphasis on play and exploration, led by our Nursery Manager * Operational Lead.

'Leaders and staff have designed a highly effective curriculum from the early years to Year 6. The curriculum is broad and vibrant' Ofsted Mar 2023)

Fielding Nursery offers five-hour sessions (excluding Early Breakfast session) so those families only wanting 15 hours can access three five-hour sessions. We are a fee paying nursery offering Government funded hours built into your schedule. Meals, snacks, resources etc. are not covered by Government funding, please see our fee's page for more information. We have close links with Reception teaching which helps the transition from Nursery to Reception whether children are attending Fielding or another school. Please note that Admission to Nursery, does not guarantee a place in Fielding Reception Year, applications for Reception are via the London Borough of Ealing. The number of children attending Fielding Nursery enables children to make friendships across the nursery and provides a supportive transition to the size of primary school classes.

Within the Borough of Ealing, Fielding nursery is very competitively priced against all fee paying Nurseries, with access to all eligible government funding to offset some of the costs. Nursery has three sessions during the day and each is charged separately to ensure families are able to choose the sessions they require.

Fielding Nursery benefits from being connected to the main school and taking part in whole school events and celebrations including author visits, World Book Day and charity fundraising.

Nursery hours match that of the extended school day offered to families and siblings at Fielding Primary School and is especially designed to support working parents with their childcare needs. Term time session selection is flexible at the point of application and can be chosen on a part-time or full-time basis depending on availability and the needs of each family. All term time sessions include all meals, snacks and milk. Occasional/Emergency ad-hoc sessions can be booked at short notice dependant on availability.

In addition Nursery Holiday Club is available during the school holidays, both full time and part time to all children attending the nursery.
