Mealtimes

Term time sessions includes a meal, this is served 'family style dining' in the Nursery dining area. Children share a table with other children and are supported by an adult, they continue developing their social skills, language development and development of their motor skills using correct cutlery. The whole school has adopted “family style dining” as research shows there are developmental benefits to children of all ages of this style of eating.

Meals are prepared daily from fresh ingredients in the school kitchen by our school caterers. There is a three week menu cycle ensuring that all government dietary requirements for schools are met. Children with a range of allergies/intolerances/preferences are catered for and where possible given a meal which is similar to the standard menu.

Meals and other resources are not included in the government Funding allocation.
