We are excited to share that we have introduced The Wisdom Star to children across the school as part of our focus on values-based living and our inner curriculum lessons. The Wisdom Star is a simple yet powerful tool designed to help children reflect on key values—respect, empathy, resilience, and reflection—and how these can guide their thoughts, actions, and decision-making in everyday life.

To support this learning at home, you might like to ask your child questions such as:

• Which point of the Wisdom Star have you used today?
• How did it help you?
• Can you share an example of when you showed resilience or empathy this week?

These conversations can help deepen their understanding and encourage them to apply these values in meaningful ways.

The Wisdom Star can also be an effective tool to use at home. You might try using it to guide family discussions, celebrate positive behaviours, or reflect on challenges together. By incorporating the star into everyday life, you can help reinforce these important values and support your child’s growth both at home and at school.

During one of our Inner Curriculum lessons, every class from Reception to Year 6 had the opportunity to design their own Wisdom Stars, inspired by our four core values: respect, empathy, resilience, and reflection. We are incredibly proud of how thoughtfully the children engaged with this task.

The Wisdom Stars are now being used across the school to help pupils make decisions and reflect on their actions, linking our values to real-life situations in meaningful ways.
