Fielding Primary School is celebrating its 70th anniversary this year, marking seven decades of educational excellence and community spirit. To commemorate this significant milestone, the PTFA hosted a special reunion of past students including some from the very first intake in 1954!

Ex-PTFA Chair, Nolan O'Connor, spent time researching various leads to track down a number of ex-pupils from the 1950's and invited them to the Summer Fair. On the day, we attracted past pupils from 1954, 1955, 1957 and several from 1960's.  The ex-pupils got to meet the current head/deputy head alongside other staff members, and they were given a tour of the school classrooms, dining hall and corridors that they would have walked through 70 years ago.  They shared beautiful stories with parents and staff members on life at fielding during that period.

“We are incredibly excited to celebrate our 70th anniversary with the entire Fielding Primary School community, both past and present,” said Mr Dunmall. “Welcoming back our very first pupils from 1954 was a unique and heartwarming opportunity to reflect on our journey and the countless lives that have been touched by the teaching we continue to provide. Their stories and memories are a testament to the enduring legacy of our school.”
