On Friday 17th January, Fielding hosted Mount Carmel for their first match of 2025! 

Playing under their new PE teacher, the girls were keen to demonstrate their dynamic skills. 

 

The girl’s delivered an outstanding performance, securing a dominant 9-0 victory against their opponents. From the very first whistle, our team showed remarkable skill, collaboration, and determination. 

 

The opening goal came early, setting the tone for the rest of the match. The forwards were on top form, with several players finding the back of the net throughout the game. Strong passes, strategic positioning and relentless pressure on our opposition, ensured the team-maintained control throughout all 30 minutes. 

 

The defence also played a crucial role, with the backline shutting down any potential attacks, while the goalkeeper made key to stay alert for any possible strikes to keep a clean sheet. The midfielders controlled the pace of the game, distributing the ball effectively and making key tackles to regain possession when needed. 

 

In a tense moment of play, our girls quickly demonstrated our core values of ‘respect’ and ‘empathy’ when the opposing goalkeeper received a ball to her face. They immediately stopped play, rallied around her to check she was ok by offering kind words and support.
