Parents of girls we need your help!

Last year latest hair accessories became a focus on many girls gift lists, starting with the JoJo Bow! Many girls wore these to school, generally keeping with our school colours. Towards the end of the summer term  this moved onto discrete cat ears on hairbands again in school colours. Since September we have noticed retailers such as Smiggle and Claire's have pushed this further and some girls are now coming to school wearing brightly coloured sparkly cat ears or even big floppy dog ears! 

We want to avoid extreme banning of items so that parents and children have some choice of expression. However we parents and children to use sensible discretion when choosing hair accessories to wear to school:

• Preferred - plain, black or blue (gingham in Summer) Alice band
• Other hair accessories, school colours, white, blue, black, neutral & small in size are just about acceptable
• Large and/or brightly coloured eg. dog ears or a unicorn horn are not acceptable.
