What was Ealing like 100 years ago?

What a wonderful first week back we have had in Year 2! We have started a new topic which has really captured the interest of all pupils. This week we have been learning about life 100 years ago. In English, pupils have been preparing an information text describing aspects of life 100 years ago. They have been writing an information text about life 100 years ago, which includes a heading, subheading, pictures, captions and a glossary. From research using iPads, pupils have found out some really interesting facts about what life was really like all those years ago. This has sparked some great discussion within the classroom. Elsie in 2H said “It’s been really interesting learning all about life and especially school from the past, we’re lucky to be in our school now!” Learning will be further consolidated by our local area walk on Tuesday and Thursday this week. All classes will be comparing Northfields now, to old pictures of the area many years ago. ​
